I want to know the status of my application.
The Board reviews applications in the order in which they are received. Due to the
number of applications already on hand and the complexity of many of the cases,
it may be as long as 12 months before you receive notification of the decision on
your request. Be assured that the Board will consider your application as soon as
possible and will notify you by mail as soon as a decision is made. Please notify
us if your mailing address changes during this time.
If you applied online through ACTS Online, you can check the status of your application
by logging in to ACTS Online and clicking on ‘Application Search’ button. The Application
Search will only display applications you submitted online under the username by
which you logged into ACTS Online. It will not show the status applications you
mailed on DD Form 149 or DD Form 293 or which you submitted online under a new username.
If you want to confirm that your application was received and is in process, and
you did not receive an acknowledgement letter or email to that effect, you may log into this website
with your username and password and check the status of your application under 'Application Search'.
Please allow 15 business days for mailed signature page and documents to be received and posted in ACTS Online.
The mail is received at a government mail handling facility, passed through security screening, then routed to
us in mail distribution. If it has been longer than 15 days and the ACTS Online application status screen does
not show that we have received and processed your signature page and supporting documents, then please contact us.
If it has been more than 12 months since you applied and you have not received a letter telling you the
board’s decision, you may email mailto:army.arbainquiry@mail.mil to ask that a copy of the board decision on your
application be mailed to you.
