I want my RE (Re-Entry Eligibility) code changed.
You should be aware that according to Army Regulation 601-210 (Regular Army and
Army Reserve Enlistment Program), the Reentry Eligibility (RE) Code can only be
changed if an incorrect code was entered. The RE code is determined by the reason
for discharge, not the character of discharge. Soldiers separated with an RE-3 code
must seek a waiver from a recruiter to enlist. Depending on the type of discharge
and disqualification, a waiver may not be possible. RE codes are not simply changed
to allow enlistment
If you feel that your RE code is in error or unjust, you may apply for a review
of your RE code. You may apply online at
https://actsonline.army.mil or you may print a blank DD Form 149 (Application
for Correction of Military Records) from the Army Review Boards Agency website at
https://arba.army.pentagon.mil/index.htm
and mail your application. You will need to provide with your application evidence
to support your contention that your reason for discharge was in error or unjust.
