I want my Retirement Points corrected.

You must exhaust administrative remedy by first trying to resolve this with your unit administrator or unit human resources NCO. If you cannot resolve it a unit level, then you must try to resolve it with US Army Human Resources Command before you can apply to the Army Board for Correction of Military Records.

IMA, IRR and ARE Soldiers must submit retirement point correction documents to their Personnel Action Branch at US Army Human Resources Command, Fort Knox. To assist the retirement points analyst in making changes to your point account, provide him/her with proof of one or more of your performance documents.

IRR RTU Soldiers must submit RTU IDT drill retirement point corrections to their Commanders whom will correct the unit's DA Form 1379 for the month concerned and forward the corrected DA Form 1379 to HRC G-3 for action.

TPU and AGR Soldiers must have their retirement point accounts updated by their Unit whom will submit corrections by electronic transactions through the Regional Level Application Software (RLAS) to the Retirement Points Accounting System (RPAS) or submit a manual request to the Personnel Action Branch at HRC of the Soldier. To assist your Unit in making changes to your retirement point account, provide unit with proof of one or more of your performance documents . Units will submit manual cases with source docments on all prior service Soldiers to HRC upon inprocessing into TPU unit. Per Milper Message Number 13-155, Initial implementing guidance for Secretary of the Army Directive: "Key Supporting Documents Required for Army Military Pay audit Readiness"; units will store, IPERM and conduct an annual review of the record of each Soldier. Most of the retirement point performance documents are listed as Key Supporting Documents in the milper message and in AR 600-8-104.

If you are a Gray Area Retiree up to age 59, you must submit a request for correction of your retirement points, to include supporting documentation, to the HRC Personnel Action Branch of your Military Occupation Specialty (MOS). For information about the retirement pay process, visit Retired Pay Processing - Ensuring timely processing or contact Retired Pay Services at (502) 613-8950.

National Guard Soldiers have their retirement points recorded in a separate retirement point accounting system. Upon retirement, NG Soldier points are not fed into RPAS. NGB Form 23 is used as the source document of the NG duty performed by a Soldier. Before a former or retired member of the National Guard can start to draw retired pay, he or she must submit a retired pay certification packet (including a summary of all retirement points earned while in the NG) to the HRC Retired Pay Office. Upon certification of retired pay, HRC forwards the certification to DFAS.

Please allow 45-60 days for corrections to be completed.
